Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals receiving home care services. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the wellbeing of those under your care. Responsibilities
- Assist service user with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their specific needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
- Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure high standards of care
- Support with light domestic duties within the care environment, including cleaning and organising personal spaces
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments as required (driving licence preferred)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and updating care plans
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Valid driving licence
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
