We are a 27-bed residential care home providing warm, person-centred care for older people, including residents living with dementia. We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team.

The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs while providing guidance and support to care staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents, including those living with dementia.
- Supporting residents with personal care, nutrition, hydration, mobility and daily activities.
- Leading and supporting care staff during shifts.
- Ensuring care plans are followed and providing appropriate updates when residents' needs change.
- Completing accurate care records and reporting any concerns appropriately.
- Supporting medication procedures where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, colleagues and visiting healthcare professionals.
- Promoting residents' dignity, privacy, independence and choice.
- Recognising and reporting changes in residents' health or wellbeing.
- Supporting new and existing staff with good practice and providing guidance within your level of competence.
- Assisting with maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Acting as a positive role model and helping to maintain the high standards expected within the home.

Previous experience in a senior care role is desirable. A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ/QCF Level 2 / 3 in Health and Social Care, is desirable or willingness to work towards one.

Shifts: 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm 7 8am-8pm
Full-time: 36-40hour contract
