We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Third Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen team. In this role, you will support our Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily food preparation, essential cooking tasks, and basic kitchen maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their culinary skills in a collaborative, high-volume environment.
Food Prep & Cooking
- Assist with basic food preparation (washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients).
- Cook standard menu items and basic components under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Keep your assigned station well-stocked and ready during service (mise en place).
Kitchen Operations & Maintenance
- Perform routine kitchen chores, including cleaning work surfaces, washing up, equipment, and storage areas.
- Label, date, and properly store all ingredients to ensure freshness and prevent waste.
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with accepting, unpacking, and organising food deliveries.
Requirements
- Basic cooking experience or culinary training (previous kitchen experience preferred).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-player mindset.
- Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
