Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our nursery premises. The ideal candidate will ensure all areas are hygienic, organised, and suitable for children’s activities. This role is vital in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and staff by adhering to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of nursery rooms, play areas, restrooms, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene by disinfecting surfaces, toys, furniture, and equipment regularly.
- Handle laundry when required, to maintain clean sheets, blankets and cleaning cloths.
- Ensure waste is disposed of properly and recycling procedures are followed.
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed to ensure continuous availability.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination within the nursery environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and record completed tasks accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping roles is preferred, although training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to ensure a consistently safe and clean nursery environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and thorough.
