Crowborough Beacon Golf Club is one of Sussex's leading golf clubs, renowned for its outstanding course, welcoming atmosphere and excellent hospitality.
We're excited to be opening our brand-new Halfway House and are looking for an enthusiastic Café Cook to lead the day-to-day food operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality food in a daytime environment. You'll take pride in delivering excellent food and service to our members and visitors while working independently in a modern, purpose-built café.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving freshly made breakfast items, hot sandwiches, baguettes, rolls and daily specials.
- Producing consistently high-quality food to specification.
- Preparing ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked for service.
- Operating the coffee machine and preparing hot drinks when required.
- Managing food stock, rotation and ordering requirements.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Completing all food safety, temperature and HACCP records.
- Opening and closing the Halfway House.
- Delivering friendly, efficient customer service.
- Working closely with the main clubhouse team to ensure a seamless service.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience as a café cook, deli cook, kitchen assistant or similar catering role.
- Enjoys preparing fresh food to a consistently high standard.
- Holds a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or is willing to obtain one).
- Can work confidently on their own and manage a busy service.
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work.
- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Works well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Is flexible to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
What We Offer
- Minimum 32 hours per week.
- You will be expected to perform shifts within our main kitchen when the Halfway House is closed
- Predominantly daytime shifts with very few late evenings, but mostly weekends

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
