The successful candidate will report to the Cyber Operations and Engineering Manager. This role focuses on defining, maintaining, and testing resilience plans for the organisation, including Business Continuity, Incident Response, and Disaster Recovery.
You will work closely with multiple teams across the IT department and the wider business to ensure that resilience strategies are robust and effective. Strong planning and communication skills are essential, as is previous experience in cyber resilience.
In addition, the responsibilities of the Cyber Resilience Analyst will include:
- Conducting analysis on business systems to understand and document the impact, scope, and recovery path in relation to cyber incidents.
- Contribution to incident reviews to ensure learnings are taken to improve our resilience.
- Identifying and escalating weaknesses in the resilience strategy.
- Working with project and change teams to ensure new developments are designed with resilience in mind.
This is a role that requires a good mix of hands-on technical skills and the ability to influence and guide the recovery strategy. You could go from personally testing the recovery of a system in the morning, to chairing a meeting of the Business Continuity group in the afternoon.
This role is based in our Deeside head office, with a minimum of 2 days per week spent working from here.
Specific skills and capabilities we are looking for:
Essential
- Previous experience in cyber resilience and recovery activities (Business Continuity, Incident Response, Cyber Recovery).
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage complex plans.
- A general understanding of how enterprise-level IT systems work together.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (particularly ASR and Recovery Services).
- Experience with cyber-recovery platforms such as Rubrik.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Defender suite.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
