Creative Fashion and Graphic Designer
Desi Tailors Limited is seeking a talented and innovative Creative Fashion and Graphic Designer to join our growing team. This exciting role combines fashion design, textile artwork, and digital graphic design to create visually compelling South Asian clothing collections and marketing materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing original fashion concepts, embroidery layouts, garment mock-ups, branding assets, and promotional content while ensuring consistency across all digital and printed media.
Working closely with designers, tailors, and the marketing team, you will transform creative ideas into production-ready designs that reflect current fashion trends and the company's brand identity. Responsibilities
- Develop innovative fashion concepts, seasonal collections, mood boards, colour palettes, and textile designs inspired by South Asian fashion trends.
- Create high-quality digital artwork, garment mock-ups, embroidery layouts, print designs, and technical drawings for production.
- Prepare production-ready files for embroidery, printing, and garment manufacturing while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Design engaging visual content for social media, websites, catalogues, lookbooks, advertisements, and other marketing campaigns.
- Produce branding materials including logos, banners, promotional graphics, packaging, and point-of-sale displays.
- Collaborate with designers, tailors, and production teams to ensure accurate placement of embroidery, prints, embellishments, and trims.
- Create digital illustrations and technical specifications for garments using Adobe Creative Suite and other professional design software.
- Support photography and video projects by preparing graphics, editing images, and assisting with visual content creation.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital and printed communications.
- Research current fashion trends, fabrics, embellishment techniques, colour forecasting, and consumer preferences to inspire new collections.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting production schedules and marketing deadlines.
- Ensure all artwork complies with printing, embroidery, and manufacturing specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, Graphic Designer, Textile Designer, or in a similar creative role with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other professional graphic design software.
- Experience creating garment mock-ups, fashion illustrations, embroidery artwork, textile patterns, and print-ready files.
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout design, branding, and visual communication.
- Knowledge of South Asian fashion, traditional garments, embroidery techniques, fabrics, and garment construction is highly desirable.
- Experience designing marketing materials for both digital and print platforms.
- Familiarity with photography editing, social media graphics, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers, tailors, production staff, and marketing teams.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- A degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, Multimedia Design, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
