Due to continued growth, Harland Group Ltd is looking for experienced self-employed Decorator / Multi-Trade Operatives to join our growing team.
Working across a variety of domestic, commercial and insurance reinstatement projects, we're looking for reliable, professional tradespeople who take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship and are looking for regular, ongoing work.
The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of decorating and maintenance works, including:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Wallpaper hanging (essential)
- Surface preparation, filling and sanding
- Woodwork painting, staining and varnishing
- Minor plaster repairs and making good
- Silicone sealing and caulking
- General property maintenance and snagging
- Basic carpentry and other multi-trade repairs where required
- Insurance reinstatement and refurbishment works
Essential Requirements
- Ideally 5+ years' decorating experience with a high standard of workmanship
- Experienced in wallpaper hanging
- CIS registered with a valid UTR number
- Full UK driving licence
- Own van and tools
- Public Liability Insurance
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience working on insurance reinstatement projects
- Additional multi-trade skills
- Current Basic DBS Certificate (or willing to undergo a DBS check)
- CSCS Card
- PASMA, IPAF or other relevant industry qualifications
Areas We Cover
Our office is based in Colchester; however, our projects are carried out across a wide geographical area. Applicants must be willing to travel to sites throughout our operating region.
We regularly undertake work across:
- Essex
- Suffolk
- Parts of Cambridgeshire

Travel is an essential part of the role. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, have their own reliable transport, and be prepared to travel to various sites as required.
