About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Bar Staff Member / Bartender to join our team in Northwich.
The successful candidate will prepare and serve drinks, provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and welcoming bar environment, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the venue.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and can remain calm, organised and professional in a busy hospitality environment.
Accommodation is provided as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Follow correct measures, recipes and serving standards.
- Process cash and card payments accurately.
- Keep the bar, counters, tables and customer areas clean and tidy.
- Collect and wash glasses and ensure clean glassware is always available.
- Restock fridges, shelves, ice, garnishes and other bar supplies.
- Check stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor or manager.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow Challenge 25 and responsible alcohol-sale procedures.
- Refuse service appropriately where a customer is underage or intoxicated.
- Report disruptive behaviour, incidents or customer concerns promptly.
- Follow health and safety, fire safety, hygiene and security procedures.
- Support colleagues during busy periods, events and promotions.
- Receive and store deliveries when required.
- Complete any other reasonable duties required for the effective operation of the bar.
Essential Requirements

- Able to handle cash and card transactions responsibly.

- Able to remain professional when dealing with difficult or intoxicated customers.
- Willing to learn and follow company procedures.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a bar, pub, restaurant, café or hospitality venue.
- Experience preparing cocktails or mixed drinks.
- Experience using an electronic till or point-of-sale system.
- Knowledge of Challenge 25 and responsible alcohol retailing.
- Food-safety, first-aid or licensing-related training.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided to the right candidate.
Pay and Accommodation
The role pays £12.71 per hour, and accommodation is provided.
