We are now recruiting for a professional kitchen porter at The Cottage in Thorpe St Andrew.
The successful applicant will ideally have professional kitchen experience, however full training in our methods will be given to the successful applicant as we expect our KP's to work quickly, diligently and to a high standard.
We serve food 7 days and 6 evenings per week therefore the jobs will include some day shifts, some evening shifts and some weekend shifts. It will also include some split shift working.
The role involves accountability for keeping the kitchen and all other food preparations areas spotlessly clean and organised and ensuring that all equipment, once cleaned, is stored accurately.
You must also assist the Chef team in ensuring that hygiene records are faultlessly maintained and orders are signed in and stored accurately and quickly.
The role will also include some food preparation such as vegetable and salad prep but all training will be given by the Head Chef or their designate.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and have their own transport or live within walking distance of The Cottage as public transport can be erratic.
