General Labourer Overview
Keco Energy is a leading provider of domestic retrofit and energy efficiency solutions, delivering high-quality PAS 2030 compliant projects across the North West and beyond. We are seeking a motivated, reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our growing delivery team.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting our retrofit operatives across occupied domestic properties. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties will include loft clearance, waste management, site preparation, material deliveries and general property maintenance to support the installation of energy efficiency measures.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career within the retrofit, construction and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out loft clearance works to prepare properties for insulation and other retrofit measures.
- Assist installation teams delivering PAS 2030 compliant retrofit projects.
- Complete general site labouring duties across occupied domestic properties.
- Carry out minor painting and decorating following installation works.
- Remove construction waste and maintain clean, safe and organised working environments.
- Load, unload and transport materials, tools and equipment to and from site.
- Complete deliveries and collections from suppliers, depots and project locations.
- Assist with protecting customer properties before works commence and ensure properties are left clean and tidy upon completion.
- Support multiple trades including loft insulation, ventilation, electrical, renewable energy and general building works.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures, RAMS and PAS 2030 quality standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst working within occupied homes.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Site Manager or Operations Team.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in loft spaces and confined areas.
- Ability to undertake manual handling activities.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Previous experience within construction, retrofit or social housing.
- CSCS Card.
- Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
- Knowledge of PAS 2030 or domestic retrofit projects.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling or Working at Height training (advantageous but not essential).
