Recovery Driver (7.5T) – Vehicle Breakdown & Recovery

Raf’s Breakdown Recovery is a professional and expanding vehicle recovery company operating across Reading, Berkshire and surrounding motorway networks. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Recovery Driver capable of driving 7.5-tonne vehicles to join our team.
Key Responsibilities Attending roadside breakdowns, accidents and recovery jobs Recovering cars, vans and light commercial vehicles Safely operating a 7.5-tonne recovery truck Loading, securing, transporting and unloading vehicles correctly Delivering a professional, calm and reassuring service to customers Completing basic paperwork and maintaining communication with control
Essential Requirements Clean UK driving licence Entitlement to drive 7.5-tonne vehicles Willingness to work overtime, evenings and weekends when required Basic vehicle/mechanical knowledge Strong reliability, professionalism and attention to safety Ability to work independently and under pressure
Desirable (but not essential) Previous experience in vehicle recovery or roadside assistance Experience operating recovery equipment Customer-facing or driving-based work background Pay & Benefits Competitive starting pay Pay increases with experience and performance Bonus and incentive payments available Overtime opportunities Training and ongoing support Long-term opportunity with a growing recovery business
