Magee Dental Care is looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our supportive team. We welcome applications from both qualified GDC registered Dental Nurses and Trainee Dental Nurses who are currently enrolled on a recognised training programme.
This is a varied role combining clinical nursing support with front desk and patient-facing responsibilities. It would suit someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent patient care, and is happy to support both the surgery and reception team as needed.
About the role
In this role, you will support clinicians during dental procedures while also helping to deliver a welcoming, efficient reception experience for patients. You will be part of a close-knit team in a progressive practice using modern digital systems and equipment.
Key responsibilities
Clinical support
- Assist clinicians during a wide range of dental treatments
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to a high standard
- Support infection prevention and decontamination processes
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice procedures
- Help ensure excellent patient care before, during, and after treatment
- Support digital workflows, including intra-oral scanning and modern practice systems where trained
Reception support
- Welcome patients and provide a friendly, professional first impression
- Manage appointments, cancellations, and diary changes
- Answer telephone and email enquiries
- Take payments and support general front desk administration
- Keep patient records accurate and up to date
- Help maintain smooth day-to-day communication across the practice
Who we’re looking for
We would love to hear from:
- Qualified Dental Nurses with current GDC registration
- Trainee Dental Nurses currently studying towards an NEBDN or City & Guilds Diploma

- Are comfortable supporting reception and administration when needed
- Have previous reception, customer service, or administrative experience
