Role: Sales Co-ordinator
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 Per Annum
Hours: Full-time
The role:
Our client is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Sales Co-ordinator to join their growing aggregates sales team. This is a fast-paced, phone-based role focused on developing new business, managing existing customer relationships and maximising sales opportunities across the construction industry.
The business supplies primary and recycled aggregates, sands, soils and construction materials to customers including groundworkers, housebuilders, civil engineering contractors and landscaping companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new projects, sites and sales opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Prepare, negotiate and follow up customer quotations.
- Convert enquiries and opportunities into sales.
- Understand customer requirements and source suitable materials and transport solutions.
- Liaise with suppliers, quarries, hauliers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets.
The successful candidate:
- Previous sales, telesales or business development experience.
- Confident making high volumes of outbound calls.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with good negotiation skills.
- Target-driven, proactive and resilient.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries.
- Positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within aggregates, construction, haulage, civils or building materials.
- Knowledge of construction materials or the aggregates market.
