Cleaning Operative – Healthcare Site – Monday to Friday

Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–6:00pm

About the Role
CGD Group is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Lightwood House.
This position involves carrying out high-quality cleaning within a healthcare environment, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors.
Your core working hours will be Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–6:00pm, providing a consistent 12.5 contracted hours per week.
As part of the role, you will also be cross-trained across our other local sites. We are therefore looking for someone who can offer a reasonable level of flexibility and is willing and able to provide additional cover when colleagues are on annual leave or absent, where required.
Duties will include:
- General cleaning of designated areas
- Vacuuming, mopping and floor cleaning
- Cleaning and sanitising washrooms
- Cleaning touchpoints and communal areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
- Following site cleaning schedules and procedures
- Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control
- Reporting any issues or maintenance concerns to your supervisor
- Providing cover at other CGD Group sites when required
About You
Previous commercial cleaning experience would be ideal, particularly within a healthcare, NHS or similar environment, although this is not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical handling would also be beneficial.
Due to the nature of the site, applicants must be able to successfully complete the required DBS screening for the role.
