Empathy Health LTD is a new agency and we are excellent team who provide care and compassion.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.
Duties
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when required.
- Engage in behaviour management techniques to assist clients with challenging behaviours.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or manager.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Skills
Will need to be registered with Social Care Wales or willing to apply
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or senior care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and home care practices is beneficial.
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient care and compassion.
- First aid certification is an advantage.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
- Proficient in medication administration protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Pay: £14.00-£28.00 per hour
