The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, School of Physical, Chemical and Environmental Sciences, at Cardiff University is a dynamic and successful multi-disciplinary centre devoted to education and research in the disciplines of geoscience and geography. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Marine Geomatics (Teaching and Scholarship).
You should share our passion for high quality interdisciplinary education and scholarship and be able to contribute to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Earth and Environmental Sciences, including supervision of undergraduate and masters thesis students.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver education and scholarship contributions in the areas of marine geomatics and hydrographic surveying. In addition, you would be expected to contribute to residential geography field courses, local day field trips, seminars, team work and project work supervision, and supervision of placement students in areas linked to marine geomatics and hydrographic surveying.

The position is full-time (35 hours per week), available from 1st October 2026 and is open ended.
The appointments will be made, dependent on relevant qualification and experience.
Salary: £41,064 - £46,049 per annum (Grade 6).
