Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Electrician to join our team. Lees Electrical Services Ltd is a growing electrical contractor providing high-quality domestic, commercial and social housing electrical installations across the North West, and occasionally further afield. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a range of electrical installations, repairs, maintenance and testing to a high standard
- Undertake inspection and testing, completing all certification accurately and in accordance with current regulations.
- Complete job documentation, test certificates, and reports accurately and ensure timely submission.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, Health & Safety and current legislation and company procedures.
- Demonstrate flexibility in managing a varied workload, working across multiple projects, clients and locations throughout the day in line with business needs, reactive call-outs and scheduled works, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Work independently or as part of a team on-site, taking initiative to manage your workload to meet project deadlines and to a high standard.
- Communicate effectively with site managers, quantity surveyors, principal contractors and other trades to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach on site.
- Liaise professionally with tenants, residents, clients and housing associations, providing excellent customer service to represent the business at all times.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and keep work areas clean and organised.
- Assist in training apprentices or junior team members to promote safety practices and technical skills.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- AM2 qualified, with a current ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Inspection and Testing qualification (2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent).
- Experience working within domestic, commercial and/or social housing environments.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with tenants, clients and other construction professionals.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise workloads, respond to changing client requirements and manage multiple jobs efficiently throughout the working day.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and current regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on social housing contracts.
- Knowledge and experience of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
- Experience working on commercial electrical projects.
- Recent health and safety training, including Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling.
