About Track Room
Track Room is a state-of-the-art racing simulation experience located inside FP Auto Club in Chelmsford. Featuring a professional-grade simulator rig with triple 4K wrap-around monitors or virtual reality, full motion platform, hydraulic brake pedal, force feedback steering, and seat belt tensioning - it's as close to real racing as you can get without a helmet.
We're looking for someone to run the simulator experience for our customers, making sure every session is set up properly, runs smoothly, and leaves a lasting impression.
The Role
This is a customer-facing role where you'll be responsible for:
- Welcoming customers and briefing them before their session
- Setting up the simulator to their preference - car, track, conditions
- Assisting less experienced users to get comfortable with the controls
- Ensuring the equipment is maintained, clean, and ready between sessions
- Taking bookings and handling payments where required
- Being a genuine ambassador for the Track Room and FP Auto Club brand
The Hours
20 hours per week across evenings and Saturdays. This role is ideally suited to a student, someone with daytime commitments, or anyone looking for a genuinely enjoyable part-time position with flexibility built in.
About You
You'll need:
- A genuine interest in motorsport, sim racing, or gaming
- A confident, friendly, and professional manner with customers
- Reliability - customers book sessions in advance and need to know you'll be there
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Right to work in the UK - no sponsorships available
- High IT literacy - not an expert, but confidence navigating PC hardware and software, troubleshooting and communicating issues.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with sim racing platforms such as Assetto Corsa, iRacing, or similar
- Knowledge of real-world motorsport - GT, Formula, Rally, or Drift
- Previous customer-facing experience
What We Offer
- £13.20 per hour
- 20 hours per week - 17:30 to 20:30 pm weekday evenings and 10:00 am to 14:00 Saturdays
