A UK- London based client is looking to bring on a Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst to join their growing security team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get stuck into real hands-on security work, including incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management within a modern cloud environment.
The Role
You’ll be joining a collaborative security function where you’ll help monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats across the organisation’s infrastructure. You’ll also work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams to improve overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring security alerts via SIEM tools (Splunk / Sentinel / QRadar)
- Investigating and responding to security incidents
- Analysing logs and identifying suspicious activity
- Supporting vulnerability management and remediation
- Assisting with incident response and reporting
- Supporting compliance (ISO 27001 / GDPR)
- Working with IT teams to improve security controls
What I’m Looking For
- Around 2–5 years’ experience in Cyber Security / SOC / Analyst role
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools
- Good knowledge of common attack types (phishing, malware, ransomware etc.)
- Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus / Qualys / Rapid7 etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure)
- Scripting (Python or PowerShell)
- Incident response / forensic experience
- Security certifications (Security+, CySA+, CEH etc.)
- MITRE ATT&CK knowledge
