Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, contributing to the creation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support the broader kitchen team with additional tasks as required, including plating and garnishing dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
