The role
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Customer Supply Operator, based at Greengate, St Helens. This is to cover sickness within the existing teams and is likely to be for 3 months in the first instance.
The successful candidate may be required to work at either Float Manufacturing site, depending upon operational requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake the full range of activities required in the Warehouse area including operation of glass moving equipment, including Glass transporters, Side loaders and various size Forklift Trucks, working within a team utilising grab slinging techniques, end-capping despatch loads, packing containers for export despatch, consolidation of stocks and carrying out warehouse stocktaking audits. A good working knowledge of SAP is desirable.

Someone who is able to work co-operatively as part of a team and be prepared to work flexibly in order to respond to changing demands.

Previous experience of working in a glass production environment (particularly glass handling) would be an advantage, together with knowledge and understanding of the process operation.
