DDAT
Hours: 37 hours per week 52 weeks a year
Contract type: Permanent
Location: St Werburgh’s CofE Primary School
Start Date: September 1st 2026
St Werburgh’s is not just any school. We are a warm, vibrant and inclusive Church of England school where every individual is valued, supported and encouraged to flourish. At the heart of our school is a genuine sense of family – a place where relationships matter, achievements are celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to be the very best version of themselves. It is this unique spirit of care, togetherness and belonging that makes St Werburgh’s such a special place to work and learn.
We are proud to be part of the Derby Diocesan Multi Academy Trust (DDAT), benefiting from a wide range of partnership opportunities enabling us to develop professionally, share expertise and continually strive for excellence.
Following the retirement of our long-standing Business Manager we are now seeking another proactive, forward-thinking and highly skilled individual to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our hardworking and passionate team, working collaboratively with colleagues who take great pride in our school community and values. In this key role, you will be the strategic driving force behind the school’s operational success, working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leaders, Local Trust Committee and DDAT Central Team. The position is broad and varied, requiring excellent financial, organisational and people management skills, alongside the ability to embrace the complexities and challenges of a demanding yet rewarding role.
If you are looking for an opportunity to be part of a school community where people genuinely care for one another, where teamwork and wellbeing are prioritised, and where your contribution will be valued and make a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
In conjunction with the above we will be offering you:
- A senior level position within our positive and thriving school community
- Professional support from the DDAT finance, HR and operational teams
- High quality professional development opportunities related to the role.
DDAT welcomes a diverse population of both children and staff and is committed to promoting and developing equality of opportunity in all its functions.
DDAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, online checks, completion of a probationary period, pre-employment and Disclosure Barring Service checks. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
