Milton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity for an Inclusion Practitioner to join our Prison Education team at HMP Lewes.
As an Inclusion Practitioner, you will provide inspirational and targeted learning support to small groups of learners and on a one‑to‑one basis. You will adopt a holistic approach to identify individual learning needs and support learners to develop their skills, confidence and independence.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support identified focus learners, using effective target‑setting and personalised strategies to help them achieve positive learning outcomes and progress towards employability. A key part of the role will involve preparing and maintaining individual Education Support Plans, requiring confident IT skills and the ability to navigate a range of digital systems accurately and efficiently.
You will be a passionate, creative and empathetic practitioner, able to offer clear guidance, encouragement and practical support. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive practice and have a genuine desire to help learners overcome barriers to learning.
The role will involve working across the wider prison estate, supporting learners on all wings where education is delivered. You will lead and deliver purposeful activity for learners on the specialist neurodiversity wing, adapting support to meet a range of needs and learning styles.
