Mason’s Animal Feeds Ltd has an immediate opening for Production Operative working the Night Shift as our Lead Night Loader. We have been steadily growing over the past several years and are looking for hard working and dedicated employees to join the MAF team.
The successful candidate will qualify as a Forklift Operator and as a Shunter Lorry Driver in order to perform the duties of a Lead Night Loader and Production Support Operative. Our production department operates 24 hours a day from Monday through Saturday and upon successful qualification as a trainee, the capable candidate will take a lead roll in assuring bulk and curtain side lorries are loaded and ready for the next day deliveries.
The shift consists of:
Standard Schedule: 7 pm until 5:30 am; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (start and end time can be adjusted to suit the successful candidate)
During peak production (fall to spring): Early Monday morning; 12 am until 5:30 am
Duties Include:
- Loading and/or assisting with the loading of finished product transport lorries
- Filling of tonne tote bags with finished product
- Weighbridge and Scale operation
- Assisting with supply of minerals and bulk materials to refill production stock
- Organization and Rotation of Mineral Stocks
- Maintaining cleanliness of Weighbridges and loading areas
- Maintaining cleanliness of Yard, Storage Areas, and Production Buildings
Successful candidate will have:
- Desire to work the assigned shift
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Pride in a job well done
- Ability to lift and to carry minimum of 25kg
- Forklift qualification; or ability to qualify for license
- Shunter Lorry qualification (or HGV); or the ability to qualify for license
- Good with numbers
- Good communication skills
- Good use of written and spoken English
- Basic computer skills
- Residence local to Mason’s Animal Feeds
- Valid driving license and personal transportation
- Ability to work to a schedule
- Ability to work both inside and outside, and in all weather conditions
- Willingness to take and to follow instructions; both written and verbal
