Location: Burnley and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract Type: Temporary, with opportunities for permanent positions
Working Pattern: Full-time and part-time opportunities available to suit your availability
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £18.35 per hour (dependant on qualifications & experience etc)

We are looking for enthusiastic qualified Teaching Assistants to support a range of friendly and welcoming primary schools across Burnley and the surrounding areas.

Job Description:
As a Qualified Primary Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Working with pupils on a whole-class, small group and 1:1 basis.
- Encouraging pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Supporting children with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND where required.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to help children reach their full potential.

Essential:
- Right to Work in the UK.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Child Workforce on the Update Service.
- A minimum Teaching Assistant Level 1 (TA1) qualification or an equivalent recognised Teaching Assistant, childcare, or Health & Social Care qualification.
- Previous professional experience supporting children within a primary school or educational setting.
- A caring, enthusiastic and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to reliably commute to schools in Burnley and the surrounding areas.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Experience working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Confidence delivering interventions and supporting small group learning.
- A flexible approach and willingness to work in a variety of primary school settings.
