The Requirements
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Sports Specialist to join our team at a Primary School in Sutton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys using sport and physical activity to support children's development, confidence and wellbeing. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inclusive and adapted sports sessions that allow children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to develop physical skills, teamwork, communication and self-confidence.
The role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with additional needs and a passion for creating positive, enjoyable and accessible sporting experiences for all pupils.

Essential / Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Sports Coaching Qualification (desirable).
- Experience delivering sports sessions to primary-aged children.
- Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs.
- Understanding of inclusive coaching and adapting activities for different abilities.
- A passion for promoting confidence, wellbeing and active lifestyles.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Your Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging SEN-focused sports sessions.
- Adapting activities to ensure all children can participate and enjoy being active.
- Supporting pupils in developing confidence, coordination, teamwork and physical skills.
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all children.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, teachers and school staff.
- Working closely with the school to understand and support individual children's needs.
- Encouraging participation, independence and positive behaviour through sport.
- Ensuring sessions are well organised, safe and suitable for all abilities.
- Acting as a positive role model who motivates and inspires children.
- Representing Sport and Health Academy (SAHA) and maintaining the highest professional standards at all times.
