We are a well-established, family-run company in Derby with over 50 years of delivering quality home and bespoke solutions. We are seeking an experienced Domestic Surveyor Manager with expertise in surveying, installation management and CAD design to oversee home improvement projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring exceptional quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
The Role
As our Domestic Surveyor Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple domestic installation projects including home extensions, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with customers, installation teams, suppliers, and our sales team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage domestic installation projects from survey through to completion.
- Lead, manage and support installation teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- MUST have experience in domestic residential surveys for installation of:
- Roof replacements
- Conservatories
- Orangeries
- Domestic windows and doors
- Produce accurate CAD drawings, interpreting and amending where necessary.
- Ensure all projects comply with current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Liaise with Building Control where required.
- Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively.
- Monitor quality standards and carry out final inspections.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout each project.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with the office team to schedule installations and manage project timelines.
- Assess planning requirements and provide guidance on planning applications, permitted development rights and compliance, including projects involving new-build properties.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Surveyor Manager within the domestic home improvement sector.
- Demonstrable experience managing domestic home installation teams.
- Extensive surveying experience within the home improvement industry.
- Strong knowledge of surveying and installation of:
- Roofing
- Conservatories
- Orangeries
- Domestic windows and doors
- Must have experience producing and using CAD drawings, with the ability to prepare accurate technical drawing for installation.
- Excellent understanding of current household Building Regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of Planning applications and compliance requirements.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience within the glazing and home improvement industry.
- Knowledge of FENSA, Certass or equivalent compliance requirements.
- SMSTS, SSSTS or relevant Health & Safety qualifications.
- First Aid qualification.

Pay: £25,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
