Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves the upkeep of gardens, ensuring that plants are healthy, well-irrigated, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work both independently and as part of a team to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and pruning plants and shrubs.
- Irrigate gardens effectively to ensure optimal growth of plants.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various gardening tasks.
- Assist in the planting, growing, and caring for a variety of plants, flowers, and trees.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening equipment and supplies.
- Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify any issues such as pests or diseases.
- Collaborate with team members to design new garden layouts or improve existing landscapes.
- Provide groundskeeping services to ensure all outdoor areas are tidy and well-maintained.
Experience
- Previous experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools related to gardening tasks is desirable.
- A keen interest in growing plants and understanding their needs is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
