Industrialisation Manager – Bedford, UK

Are you an experienced industrialisation or manufacturing engineering professional ready to lead a team and shape how new products come to life on the production floor?
We're recruiting on behalf of a global engineering group based in Bedford for an Industrialisation Manager to lead site-level industrial engineering and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role covering everything from industrialisation strategy and CAPEX investment to team development and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Defining and leading the industrialisation strategy for new and existing products
- Overseeing the smooth transfer of products from Development to Manufacturing
- Driving process optimisation, cost reduction, and lead time improvements across production and assembly
- Planning and delivering CAPEX initiatives, from short-term investments through to long-term capability building
- Leading and developing a team of industrialisation technicians and improvement project officers
- Embedding continuous improvement methodologies and structured performance management across the site
- Coordinating cross-functional activities with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Quality
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, industrialisation, or production environments
- Strong background in process industrialisation, manufacturing processes, and process control
- Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor)
- Proven leadership of technical teams and cross-functional projects
- A results-driven, analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills
