Duties
- Safely operate a delivery van to transport parcels across designated routes with precision and timeliness
- Load and unload packages, including heavy items, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each parcel delivered
- The shift pattern is 5 days Monday through Saturday
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles preferred
- Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely during loading and unloading processes
- Warehouse experience helpful for understanding parcel handling procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- A valid UK driving licence, with 6 points or less.
- Experience with driving vans or similar vehicles in urban or suburban environments
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

What You’ll Get
