Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and committed Process Support Operator to join our small team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes. This role is multi skilled, demanding the individual to work in all areas of the business, process and packing. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Highlights
We are a Monday to Friday operation and do not work bank holidays unless the business demands us to. We do not operate a shift pattern and hours of work will be between the hours of 0645am - 4pm. As a show of appreciation all our breaks are paid breaks and included in your contracted hours of employment.
Duties
- We operate to BRCGS standards and maintain a high level of accreditation. All colleagues need to work to this standard at all times and help maintain our grade.
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any issues or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any incidents.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational problems promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the training of new staff members on equipment operation and safety practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or process operation environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with operating machinery and understanding of production processes is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on teamwork.
- A proactive approach to safety and quality assurance practices is essential.
