Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Part Time Gardener / Handy Person to join our team! This dynamic role combines hands-on gardening expertise with practical maintenance skills to keep outdoor spaces vibrant, healthy, and beautifully maintained. Responsibilities
- Maintain gardens, lawns, flower beds, and landscaped areas using hand tools and power tools to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and mulching.
- Assist with irrigation system installation, inspection, and repairs to optimize water efficiency.
- Conduct groundskeeping duties including trash removal, edging, and soil aeration to uphold cleanliness and orderliness.
- Carry out minor repairs around the property such as fence fixes, gate adjustments, or equipment servicing to support overall site functionality.
- Support horticultural activities by planting new greenery, transplanting existing plants, and monitoring plant health.
- Use gardening knowledge to identify pests or diseases early and apply appropriate solutions when necessary.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and spades for precise gardening work.
- Experience operating power tools including hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, blowers, and trimmers safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance purposes.
- Growing experience in horticulture or gardening practices with an understanding of plant care fundamentals.
- Strong background in landscape maintenance techniques and groundskeeping standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to garden health and property upkeep.
