We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Specialist to join our Orthodontic Service in Colchester. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering specialised orthodontic care to children, under our NHS contract. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive orthodontic assessments, including analysing medical imaging and dental records.
- Utilise CAD software to design and plan orthodontic treatment procedures tailored to individual patient needs.
- Apply anatomical knowledge to develop effective treatment plans and ensure precise appliance placement.
- Assist in the fabrication of orthodontic appliances, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with dental practitioners and laboratory technicians to optimise treatment results.
- Maintain detailed patient records, documenting progress and treatment modifications accurately.
- Educate patients on orthodontic procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of human anatomy relevant to dental and facial structures.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques utilised within orthodontic diagnostics.
- Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
