We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team; on a bank basis. This will be to cover shortfalls within the roster, including sickness and holiday cover. You will have access to the digital roster system so that you can see months in advance. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home setting. Ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being is maintained at all times. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Foster a supportive and friendly environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
- A strong command of English is required for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is a bonus.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of those in your care is essential.
We must comply with safe staffing regulations. This means that we must employ staff with a checkable work history and adequate checkable references. These will be checked prior to starting with us. Holiday entitlement is within the hourly pay rate at an extra 12.07%.
