Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation of the kitchen to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
