Activity Coach – After School Club (Term Time Only)

Jets Activity Clubs operate across Edinburgh and West Lothian, with clubs based in West Calder, Calderwood, Ratho, Queensferry, Currie , Murryburn and surrounding areas.
When applying, please tell us which location(s) would be most convenient for you.
Where possible, we aim to keep our team members working consistently at the same club. However, depending on the needs of the business, you may occasionally work across two nearby clubs. For example, you may work Monday and Tuesday at one club, and Wednesday and Thursday at another. We do our very best to keep this to a minimum and provide consistency wherever possible.
Applicants should ideally have access to their own transport and be confident travelling to our club locations if required. Please do not apply unless you can reliably travel to the clubs you are available to work at.
This is an AFTER SCHOOL CLUB position, meaning shifts take place after the school day finishes. This is a term-time only role, so you will usually have all school holidays off. There are, however, opportunities to work additional hours during our popular Summer Activity Clubs, as well as extra hours within our nursery settings throughout the year.

We're looking for enthusiastic Activity Coaches to join our growing team. At Jets Activity Clubs, we provide exciting, active and engaging after-school clubs for children aged 4–12, where every child feels safe, valued and inspired.
Every day is different! From sports and team games to arts, crafts and imaginative play, you'll help create memorable experiences that children look forward to every week.
What You'll Be Doing
- Implementing your own activty programme, Leading fun, engaging sports, games, crafts and creative activities.
- Sharing your own skills, hobbies and interests with children through exciting activities.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment where every child can thrive.
- Supervising children throughout each session and ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
- Walking children safely from school to the activity club while following all road safety procedures.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, schools and colleagues.
- Helping to plan, prepare and tidy away activities.
- Encouraging confidence, teamwork, independence and physical wellbeing through play.
- Parent handovers
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with children.
- Is confident, enthusiastic and able to lead groups of children independently.
- Has a fun, energetic and positive attitude.
- Is creative and enjoys bringing ideas to life.
- Has skills or interests they would love to share with children, whether that's sport, drama, cooking, music, dance, arts & crafts, woodland activities, STEM, fitness or another hobby.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe.
- Is confident following road safety procedures when walking children from school to the club.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with children in schools, childcare, coaching or play settings is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
