A day in the life
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned STEM lessons across your specialist subject (plans provided or adapted with confidence)
- Inspire students across KS3–KS4, and KS5 where appropriate, to develop curiosity and critical thinking
- Create a positive learning environment where students feel confident to question, experiment, and succeed
- Maintain high standards of behaviour using fair, consistent classroom management strategies
- Monitor student wellbeing and immediately report any safeguarding concerns
- Complete essential admin including registers and handover notes to support continuity of learning
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every student
What you'll bring
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – including Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
- Strong subject knowledge in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
- A secure understanding of the Secondary Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
- Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
- A sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and the confidence to act appropriately
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willingness to apply
- The flexibility to adapt quickly to different schools while maintaining high teaching standards
