Job Summary
Horizons Nursery is currently looking to recruit passionate and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly nursery team. Our vision is to create a nursery full of smiles, where children feel happy, supported and encouraged every day.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education and care, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Duties
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and well-being of children.
- Supervise daily routines including playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Lead and mentor junior staff and apprentices, providing guidance to foster their professional growth.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in line with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share updates on children’s progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children from harm.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery or early years setting, including resource management and environment organization.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or nurseries.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and enthusiasm when engaging with young children.
- Valid childcare qualification at Level 3 or higher (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare).

Pay: From £13.80 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
