JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide support to individuals of all ages in such a way as to promote and safeguard their physical and emotional welfare and to help them retain as much independence as possible.
The main duties of this post are to:
· Support each client’s wish to remain at home.
· Encourage each client’s independence.
· Read, understand, and follow each clients’ Care Plan.
· Support and assist clients with personal care tasks that will be detailed in the Care Plan. These tasks can include washing, dressing, and bathing.
· Provide social contact for clients.
· Represent the company in a professional manner and to not bring the company into disrepute.
· Adhere to the policies and procedures of The Care Trust.
· Participate in mandatory training when required to update your skills and knowledge.
· Report any concerns about a client or carer to your line manager or appropriate services.
· Report any changes to health and safety within the clients’ home through to The Care Trust office.
· Log your completed duties for a client in a Record of Care on the clients’ profile.
· Always exercise discretion and confidentiality
