Bartender
Birmingham City Centre
Full-Time | Permanent Position
Not every bartender is suited to high-end service.
Some people can pour drinks. Some can handle a busy Friday night. Very few know how to manage atmosphere, timing, guest interaction, presentation, and precision all at once while maintaining the standards expected within a premium venue.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cocktail Bartender to join an established hospitality venue in Birmingham city centre. This is a full-time opportunity within a fast-paced, professionally operated environment where service quality, attention to detail, and customer experience are taken seriously.
The venue attracts a mix of professionals, corporate clientele, private bookings, and premium weekend trade. We are looking for somebody confident behind the bar, comfortable working with classic and modern cocktails, and capable of delivering polished service consistently throughout busy shifts.
This role is not designed for somebody looking for casual bar work. It is suited to bartenders who take pride in the standard of their craft and want to work in an environment that reflects that.
Immediate start available. We are ideally looking for candidates able to begin within two weeks of offer.
Salary & Benefits
- £16.50 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience
- Guaranteed full-time hours
- Monthly performance and venue revenue bonuses
- Additional service and recognition incentives
- Premium hospitality training and development programmes
- Advanced wine, spirits, and cocktail masterclasses
- Invitations to supplier events, tastings, and fine dining experiences
- International travel opportunities to partner venues with expenses covered
- Guaranteed minimum of two weekends off per month to support work-life balance
- Clear progression pathways into Head Bartender and management-level roles
Working Hours
Venue operating hours:
- Sunday to Thursday: 11am to 12am
- Friday and Saturday: 11am to 2am
Shift patterns are rotated across daytime and evening service. Rotas are structured professionally with a focus on consistency and sustainability rather than excessive back-to-back 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality classic and signature cocktails to specification
- Delivering elevated customer service standards throughout service
- Managing bar organisation, cleanliness, and presentation during peak trading periods
- Building strong product knowledge across spirits, wines, champagne, and premium beverages

Requirements
- Previous cocktail bartending experience within busy bars, premium venues, hotels, restaurants, or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations

- Genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience
We are looking for individuals who understand the difference between standard service and memorable service. The environment is ambitious, fast-moving, and team-focused, with management that values professionalism and consistency.
Applications are currently being reviewed immediately due to expansion and operational demand.
