Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the care home setting, ensuring a welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linens and towels as required
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products
- Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as deep cleans or specialised sanitation procedures when needed
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Strong customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction when applicable
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting
- Basic cooking skills are considered a plus but are not essential
- Flexibility to adapt to different cleaning environments and schedules
