Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation in Lincolnshire on a 12-month maternity cover.
Working closely with budget holders and senior stakeholders, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while helping shape the organisation's future through sound financial management, strategic insight and robust governance.

The role of the Finance Manager
- Manage the day-to-day finance function including purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and reconciliations.
- Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and variance analysis.
- Support budget holders through regular review meetings and financial guidance.
- Monitoring project and contract budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning alongside the senior leadership team.
- Supporting long-term financial planning and cash flow forecasting
- Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, financial governance and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with outsourced payroll, VAT and pension providers.
- Develop robust financial processes and continuously improve reporting and financial systems.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner across the organisation, building financial confidence amongst non-finance managers.
The ideal candidate for the role of Finance Manager
We're looking for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively across an organisation and is confident communicating financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience producing monthly management accounts.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
- Experience managing transactional finance processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of financial controls, governance and compliance.
- Experience working with finance systems such as Xero (or similar cloud-based accounting software).
- The ability to influence and support non-financial managers.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
