About Us
The International College of Musical Theatre (ICMT) is a specialist performing arts college based in Hackney Wick, training the next generation of musical theatre performers. We offer conservatoire-level training delivered by a faculty of working performers and industry professionals - practical, intensive, and rooted in what the industry actually needs.
We're a small, close-knit team and proud of it. Everyone here rolls up their sleeves, picks up whatever needs doing, and looks out for one another. If you're looking for a big corporate environment, this probably isn't for you, but if you want a role where you genuinely matter and no two days look the same, read on.
About the Role
As our Office Assistant, you'll be the engine room of the College, the person students, staff, and visitors turn to first. One moment you might be preparing assessment forms or updating student records; the next you're restocking supplies, signing for a delivery, or helping a tutor get a studio ready. In a small team, everybody chips in, and this role is no different.
You'll hold the keys to open the building each morning, so reliable transport is essential — you'll be one of the first people here and someone the whole College depends on to get the day started.
You'll work closely with the wider team and senior management, providing day-to-day administrative and operational support that keeps the College running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Technically savvy — comfortable downloading footage from a video camera and connecting a camera to a TV
- Canva experience is an asset, but not essential
- A self-starter — someone who spots what needs doing rather than waiting to be asked
- Reliable transport, as you'll be responsible for opening the building
- Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team where roles overlap
- Confident person who has no problem speaking to a room full of students
