We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to a set location. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of vehicle operation, and the ability to perform basic mechanical checks.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is essential.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or maintenance on the vehicle when necessary.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
