Burton Addiction Centre (BAC) is an award-winning organisation providing support to individuals affected by drug and alcohol use through a range of services including residential rehabilitation, recovery housing, social enterprises and community-based therapeutic interventions.
Working in partnership with We Are With You, we deliver the Community Drug and Alcohol Service (CDAS), supporting people to build healthier, safer and more independent lives in Stoke on Trent.
We are currently recruiting for a number of Recovery Worker positions within our service. If you are passionate about supporting people to overcome challenges, achieve recovery goals and improve their quality of life, we would love to hear from you.
Current Vacancies
Floating Housing Support Worker Fixed-Term Contract until 31 March 2027
Supporting service users with housing-related needs to access and sustain suitable accommodation while providing recovery-focused interventions that promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
Alcohol Recovery Worker Full-Time | Permanent
Supporting individuals whose primary substance use is alcohol by providing coordinated recovery planning, psychosocial interventions and access to clinical, health and social care support.
Opiate Recovery Worker Full-Time | Permanent
Working with individuals whose primary substance use is opiates, delivering person-centred recovery interventions and supporting engagement with treatment and wider recovery services.
Rough Sleepers Recovery Worker Full-Time | Maternity Cover
Working closely with rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness to improve engagement with treatment services, access accommodation and achieve positive recovery outcomes.
About You
We are looking for people who:
- Are passionate about supporting individuals to make positive changes in their lives.
- Have experience of working within health, social care, housing, criminal justice or substance misuse services.
- Demonstrate a commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused practice.
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Are organised, adaptable and motivated to achieve positive outcomes.

The successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Pay: £26,227.00-£27,815.00 per year
