We are recruiting for a time served Auto Electrician (vehicle technicians will be considered) to join our amazing Engineering Team based at Dundee. This is a great opportunity to showcase your electrical skills and contribute to the overall safety and transportation of our passengers.
No two days are the same in our workshops and our amazing team pull together to reach the end results. You will play a crucial part in conducting electrical repairs and diagnostics on company vehicles to a high standard, complete required paperwork, ensuring repairs meet company standards and utilise software programs such as Cummings Insite, Volvo, Alison Gearbox, and Multi MUX. Knowledge of these systems is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

What you can bring to us:
- Diagnose electrical faults in various vehicle systems using specialised testing equipment
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, sensors, switches, and other electrical components
- Install new electrical systems or upgrades according to manufacturer specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicle electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs and installations efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or heavy components safely
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive electrical systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wire strippers
- Experience with power tools necessary for installation and repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large components or equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
