About EnergyMyWay
EnergyMyWay is a specialist renewable energy installer working mainly on domestic properties (both new build and existing homes). We design and install solar PV, underfloor heating (UFH), mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) and other low‑carbon systems across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.
We are growing our team and have an excellent opportunity for a motivated, practical person to gain hands-on experience in the installation of renewable energy systems.
Role Overview
This is a non-skilled/entry-level role supporting our Solar Installation Teams. Full training will be provided.
You will mainly work on roofs assisting with the installation of solar PV panels. You will also, from time to time, work with our heating team helping to install:
- Underfloor heating (UFH)
- MVHR ductwork and associated equipment
This is a physically demanding, site-based role that involves working outdoors, at height and in plant/loft spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Solar PV Installation Support - main role
- Assist with lifting, carrying and positioning solar panels and mounting systems on roofs
- Help set out and prepare roofs for installation (marking, fixing rails, etc.)
- Run cables
- Mount inverters, batteries and isolator switches
- Use hand and basic power tools under supervision
- Keep work areas safe, tidy and organised
- Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and moving materials on site
Heating & Ventilation Support - occaisional support
- Help lay and fix underfloor heating pipework in accordance with drawings
- Assist with installing MVHR ductwork, brackets and associated fittings
- Support the team with basic measurements, marking out and materials preparation
- General labouring duties as required by the heating team
General
- Follow all health & safety procedures, particularly when working at height and in confined spaces
- Work as part of a small team, following instructions from lead installers
- Represent EnergyMyWay professionally on site and with customers
- Travel to different sites across Oxfordshire and nearby areas (company vehicle provided for work use)
Skills & Requirements
Essential:
- Physically fit, healthy and comfortable with manual work
- Confident working at height (full training and safety equipment provided)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Punctual, reliable and willing to learn
- Good attitude to health & safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous site, construction or roofing experience
- Any basic experience with hand/power tools
- Interest in renewable energy or construction trades

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
