We are looking for a caring, professional and reliable individual with a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2 and experience working within a clinical environment to join our growing home-visiting ear care service across London and Greater London.
This is a full-time employed position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £25,000 per annum plus mileage reimbursement.
You must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have access to your own reliable vehicle
- Be comfortable travelling throughout London and Greater London
- Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check (provided by us)
If using an electric vehicle (EV), applicants must ensure the vehicle has:
- A practical real-world range suitable for daily London travel (generally 150+ miles recommended)
- Reliable access to overnight/home charging to ensure the vehicle can begin each working day fully charged
Due to the mobile nature of the role, consistent ability to travel across assigned regions of London is essential.
Our service specialises in providing ear examinations and ear wax removal by microsuction in patients’ homes, with many of our clients being elderly or housebound. We pride ourselves on delivering a professional, compassionate and reliable service with excellent patient feedback and consistent 5-star reviews.
Working Hours & Structure
Working hours are typically:
- 9:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Typical appointment schedule:
The structure of the working day includes:
- Paid travel time between appointments
- Time allocated for report writing and administration
- Paid travel allowance at the start and end of the day
The first appointment begins at 10:00am. The working schedule includes paid time to travel to the first patient and from the final patient home, alongside an expectation of reasonable personal commuting time similar to any community-based role.
Most appointments take approximately one hour. Daily travel times can vary depending on patient locations and operational demand across London.
London Coverage & Travel
Practitioners are allocated a working region of London depending on where they live and operational demand.
As a growing business, coverage areas may initially be relatively large while we continue building patient demand across different areas of London. As the business grows and additional practitioners join the team, regions are expected to become more localised and travel routes more concentrated.
Driving times between appointments may vary and can occasionally range from approximately 30–90 minutes depending on location and traffic conditions. All travel time between appointments is paid, and we make every effort to schedule appointments efficiently to minimise unnecessary travel where possible.
The role requires flexibility with travel and confidence working independently across community settings.
