Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Part-Time Retail Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the sales floor, and supporting merchandising efforts to enhance the shopping experience. Flexibility and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Maintain the organisation and presentation of merchandise on the sales floor
- Support merchandising activities, including stock replenishment and visual displays
- Provide product information and upselling suggestions to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
- Handle phone enquiries with courtesy and professionalism
- Assist in organising promotional events or special displays as required
- Support team members with daily tasks to ensure smooth store operations
Skills
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Punjabi or other languages is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimise product displays
- Ability to demonstrate upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Good phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are considered an advantage
- Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Friendly demeanour with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer engagement
- Livefeed preparation and dressing mannequins daily
- Work beside the director daily to support reparation of Livefeeds on social media
- Social media experience of advertising merchandise
Pay: £12.21-£17.15 per hour
